Pet Ambulance
Pet Ambulance and Community Nursing
Lanes Vets have a specially converted pet ambulance that is used by our nurses to take our nursing service out into the community across Lancashire and the Fylde Coast. We know that sometimes it is difficult to get your pet to one of our branches, if this is the case the Lanes Vets ambulance can be booked in advance to transport pets safely to weekday appointments at the practice (please note we are unable to transport owners to these appointments).
In addition, during daytime hours, for a small additional charge, we can also provide home visits for nurse appointments. This is especially popular with people who may find it difficult to bring their pets to the practice to perform routine procedures such as nail clipping, worming, anal gland emptying and medication administration.
Weekday veterinary visits by ambulance can also be pre booked under certain circumstances. We are unable to offer home visits during the weekend or out of hours. The community nursing service operates on a rota system from each of our branches and needs to be booked in advance. Please contact your local Lanes Vets branch for information on the costs of these services and availability.
