Where we are

Our small animal team cover 4 sites at Garstang, Poulton-Le Fylde, Lancaster and Preston. Each surgery has it’s own team of dedicated vets. You can request your preferred vet meaning your pet is seen by a vet who knows them and their needs. We also provide our own out of hours service, so if you need us when the surgery is closed we have full access to your pets record and can provide continuous care.

We have a team with further qualifications and special interests in a number of areas across a range of skills. This allows us to cope with challenging cases in dermatology, cardiology, dentistry, soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology. We can provide imaging with ultrasound, radiography and endoscopy, pain or wound management with K-Laser and acupuncture helping us to diagnose and treat your pet more effectively and getting them on the road to recovery more quickly.

Our History

In 1992 Per Ostergaard, Graham Shepherd, Mandy Mayo and Mike Bevan bought D.W. Davies practice and changed the name to Dimples Lane and built up both the large animal and small animal side. Dimples Lane set up a small animal practice on Caton Road, Lancaster in 2001.

Pearson and Thompson were the 2 partners of a small animal surgery in Poulton-Le Fylde. Danny Callery joined them in 1988 and later became a partner making this practice known as ‘Pearson, Thompson & Callery’. Their small animal practice in Poulton grew rapidly and moved to a larger premises in 2000. In 2007, the practice merged with Dimples Lane after they expanded the building on Green Lane West. The surgery on Caton Road, Lancaster was also part of the merger. A new Small animal surgery was built in Cottam and opened in 2020 just before lockdown. The practice has grown from a small practice to one with 100 staff during that time, still proudly independent.
