Investors in the Environment

The environment has always been important to Lanes Vets, with solar panels at our Cottam, Garstang and Poulton branches, recycling throughout, bee friendly planting and EV charging available.

To help us continue to reduce our impact, and to measure and optimise the waste we do produce, Lanes Vets is working towards becoming a Green Level accredited business with Investors in the Environment (iiE). We are proud to have been awarded our Green level accreditation, the highest achievable, in 2025.

iiE is a national environmental accreditation scheme designed to help organisations save time and money, reduce their impact on the environment, and get recognition for their progress. iiE is an accessible and proven route to help organisations get started on their sustainability journey and keep going. It has been running for over 12 years, and in that time has helped hundreds of organisations from all sectors and of all sizes to improve their environmental performance.

Changes behind the scenes have already started and we look forward to working with iiE to find efficient and vital sustainable steps while continuing to provide quality care for the animals entrusted to our care.

By adopting green technologies, minimizing waste, sourcing locally, and engaging with our community, we strive to create a resilient and eco-conscious practice that supports both the health of our patients and the planet.
